CAFI - Building expertise among young central African professionals in human development and climate change mitigation is essential for long-term forest protection in the region. That’s why CAFI is launching a fellowship program at its Secretariat in Geneva, to invite young talents from the region to join its team for one year, and grow skillsets that can in turn benefit future actions for Central African forests and people.

This fellowship is a UNDP talent development program, based on UNDP’s Fellowship policy. It will run over five years with two fellows hosted every year on a rotational basis, hence offering this unique opportunity to 10 young talents in total.

Is this Fellowship for you?

  • Do you seek to spend one year increasing your expertise and building technical know-how to participate in driving sustainable development and responding to the climate crisis?
  • Are you keen to be exposed to an international working environment and be part of a new generation of professionals dedicated to prioritizing nature and poverty reduction?
  • Are you committed to forest protection and seek to build the necessary skillsets to tackle these challenges when possibly returning to work for your national government?
  • Are you curious about obtaining valuable first-hand experience of the day-to-day work at the CAFI Secretariat?
